  • Wednesday, February 18, 2003 Naval Aviation Topics by Admiral Stanley R. Arthur, USN Retired, former Commander Naval Forces Central Command, 7th. Flt., and Vice Chief of Naval Operations. He had over 500 combat missions.
  • Wednesday, July 30, 2003 Operation Iraqi Freedom by RADM Mark Milliken, USN, DEPCOMUSNAVCENT.
  • Wednesday, November 05, 2003 In-Flight Refueling Operations by The 6th. Air Mobility Wing MacDill AFB.
  • Wednesday, January 21, 2004 Naval Aviation – Its Future by RADM Phillip D. Smith, USN Retired, President the Association of Naval Aviation.
  • Friday, November 19, 2004 A briefing and tour of United States Coast Guard Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and law enforcement.
  • Wednesday, December 15, 2004 A briefing on Army aviation hosted by Lt Col. M.J. Kools, USA.
  • Wednesday, January 19, 2005 A briefing on cockpit instrumentation by CDR Bo Heininger, USN (Ret.) He was head of the Instrumentation Branch, Avionics Division at NAVAIR in Washington, DC. He retired with 5000 hours in 19 different aircraft models and 28 missions in the Korean Conflict.
  • Wednesday, March 23, 2005 A briefing on the Naval Academy "Blue and Gold" Program hosted by Warren G. Hahn. He graduated from the USNA with the Class of 1960 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps as the CO of the 2nd Engineering Co., 3rd Engineering Batt., 3rd Marine Division and CO of the Base Maintenance Co., USMC Supply Center, Barstow, CA. He has been a Blue and Gold Officer since 1974 and is presently one of four candidates being considered for election to the US Naval Academy's Board of Trustees in the very near future.
  • Wednesday, May 04, 2005 Vice Admiral Eric T. Olson gave a briefing on the Navy and The United States Special Operations Command. He is currently the Deputy Commander of USSOCOM and a Navy SEAL. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School; and has had an extensive operational career in the Teams. He has commanded at every level from platoon OIC to Naval Special Warfare Force Commander. He has participated in several conflicts and contingency operations and his decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal and the Silver Star.
  • Thursday, October 20, 2005 A presentation by Commander Edward J. Socha, USN (Ret.) about his experiences as a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor and as a Scout/Raider in China.
  • Thursday, December 15, 2005 A presentation by Captain "Slim" Russell, USN (Ret.) regarding his distinguished career as as a Naval aviator. He served from 1940 -1962 amassing 6,500 military flight hours and 3,000 civilian flight hours in more than 125 type and model aircraft, including both jet and prop. He has logged 380 fixed-wing carrier landings and 75 combat missions along the way.
  • Wednesday, March 29, 2006 A presentation by Major General Robert M. Flanagan, USMC (Ret.) regarding his long and distinguished career in Marine Corps aviation wherein he earned Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Navy and Marine Commendation Medal, and the Presidential Service Badge.
  • Thursday, May 04, 2006 A pictorial presentation of the USS MIDWAY museum by career naval aviator, Captain James H. Aldrich, Jr., USN (Ret.) He accumulated over 3000 flight hours, the majority of it in the A, B, and D models of the F-14 Tomcat and was awarded over the course of his career the Legion of Merit with gold star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, and various service awards.
  • Thursday, November 16, 2006 A presentation by Capt. Steve Csintyan who served in the USMC and the US Coast guard for thirty years as an aviator. He piloted both rotary wing aircraft and the Hercules C-130.
  • Thursday, January 25, 2007 A presentation by Col. John T. Stansfield, a former USA aviator. His career spanned a tour in Korea as an infantryman after which he entered the aviation field. He accumulated 4700 military flying hours including 170 in combat and was rated in 9 Army fixed and rotary wing aircraft as pilot, instructor and instrument examiner.
  • Thursday, March 15, 2007 A presentation by Harry W. Benter, a retired US Army aviator. His career spanned from his enlistment in the Navy in 1954 as an Electronics Technician through his graduation from college, Intelligence training, Flight Officer qualification, and culminated as Deputy Director & Instructor, Economics Dept., U. S. Naval Academy until retirement on 1 Sept. 1984.
  • Friday, March 30, 2007 A private viewing of a Blue Angels dress rehearsal at MacDill AFB.
  • Thursday, May 24, 2007 A presentation by Mr. James E. Morgan, Capt. US Army Air Corps (Ret.) about his experiences in World War II, which included participating in the famous B-24 raid on the Ploesti oil fields in Hungary.
  • Wednesday, October 10, 2007 A presentation by LCDR Brian S. Knowles, USN about his experiences as a naval rotary-wing aviator. He has amassed over 2000 flight hours in both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. He has deployed in support of operations SOUTHERN WATCH and ENDURING FREEDOM aboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74).
  • Wednesday, March 12, 2008 A presentation by Captain Paul Becker, USN, Commanding Officer of the Joint Intelligence Center of CENTCOM. He expounded on the role of US Naval forces in Central Command's theater of operations with specific regards to the current war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the burgeoning cold war with Iran. A graduate of the US Naval Academy and Harvard University's John F. Kennedy's School of Government, with diplomas from the Defense Language Institute, he has served with distinction in multiple capacities as a Naval Intelligence Officer.
  • Wednesday, October 22, 2008 A presentation by CDR Bo Heininger, USN (Ret.) called "Clockshop To Glass Cockpit." He was head of the Instrumentation Branch, Avionics Division of the Naval Air Systems Command. His work in this division has been instumental in the existence of automatic flight control and display systems in all modern aircraft.
